Homicide Investigation Underway After 28-Year-Old Woman Found Dead at Gwen Cherry Park

Authorities have confirmed that reports regarding the death of a 28-year-old woman found at Gwen Cherry Park are accurate.

According to officials, the Northside District Police Station completed the initial incident report and has since transferred the case to the Homicide Unit, which is now leading the investigation. Detectives are awaiting findings from the Medical Examiner/Coroner’s Office to help determine the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

Investigators with the Homicide Unit are expected to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the case through forensic evidence, the Medical Examiner’s findings, and interviews with family members, friends, and associates.
